The children’s book was released last month and is available in stores and online. Garrett, a mother of four adopted children, wrote the book to offer a child-friendly perspective on what it means to have a mother, a father, and a birth mother. The main character is named after her own oldest son. In addition to her book, Garrett has also started an organization in Kentucky called Know Hope, which helps hopeful parents adopt a child.
